Some birds live in other collections and appear here too: penguin puzzles, snowy owl puzzles, kookaburra puzzles, turkey puzzles and ostrich puzzles.
Eight scenes have no collection of their own: barn swallows, sandhill cranes, roseate spoonbills, snow geese, wild turkeys, quail, pigeons and a roadrunner.
Which Piece Count? Fine feathers and wide stretches of sky or water set the difficulty. 500 pieces suit a close portrait like a cardinal on a snowy branch; keep 1000 pieces for flocks, marshes and gardens full of blossoms.
Formats and Quality Every puzzle comes in 100, 200, 500 or 1000 pieces, in two finished sizes: 18.9 x 13.4 in and 26.8 x 18.9 in. Pieces are 1.9 mm thick and cut with no false fits, the image is printed by sublimation, and each puzzle is made to order. If a piece is ever missing, we replace it for free.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are owls birds of prey?
Yes. Owls hunt with talons and hooked beaks like hawks and eagles, but most hunt at night, so they have their own collection.
Which bird puzzle makes a good gift for a birdwatcher?
Pick the bird they watch most: a state bird puzzle for their home state, a backyard bird from their feeder, or a loon or puffin from a favorite trip.
Are birds related to dinosaurs?
Yes. Birds descend from theropod dinosaurs, the same group as T. rex, and are the only dinosaur line still alive today.
How should I start a bird puzzle?
Build the edge, then group pieces by feather color. The eye and beak are the easiest landmarks; leave open sky or water for last.
